Bjørn Thorsen offers Exxelor™ polymer resins from The Compound Company and Acti-Tech™ compatibilizers from NGC, which serve as highly efficient compatiblizers, coupling agents and adhesion promoters.
Compatibilizers are used for mixing two polymers in a physical blend, especially in the case of immiscible blends. As a result, polymer alloys are formed.
Coupling agents are used to unite dissimilar materials, as in the case of composites.
Adhesion promoters are bi-functional materials that increase adhesive strength between the coating and the substrate.
