Copenhagen, May 9, 2018 – Nordic Grafting Company A/S (NGC) announces the launch of its new and innovative range of Acti-Tech™ compatibilizers at the Compounding World Expo 2018, taking place on June 27-28 in Essen, Germany. Acti-Tech compatibilizers have been developed on the base of maleic anhydride-grafted Vistamaxx™ performance polymers from ExxonMobil.

The Acti-Tech compatibilizers range of products is manufactured through highly efficient melt-grafting processes, leading to high functionalization with controlled melt flow index (MFI) specifications. NGC is a wholly-owned affiliate of Bjørn Thorsen A/S, who has a global license agreement with ExxonMobil.  This agreement allows NGC to utilize ExxonMobil’s patented technologies for grafting Vistamaxx performance polymers, thereby enabling the production and commercialization of the Acti-Tech compatibilizers portfolio.

NGC increases its expertise and market reach

NGC is rapidly expanding its know-how, expertise and market reach through the development and introduction of the Acti-Tech compatibilizers series, with identified fit and an increasing number of active projects in compounding and recycling.

NGC Market Development Manager Quentin Le Piouff highlights:

“Vistamaxx performance polymers have shown to significantly improve processability and performance of finished products when used in mixed PE or PE/PP recycled streams.  While molded articles based on these compounds displayed increased impact strength, films become more resistant to dart drop and tear.”

Le Piouff further claims:

“Acti-Tech compatibilizers strongly reinforce these benefits thanks to the additional functionalization by grafting and thus open up numerous new possibilities in tailored compounds and films applications.”

At Compounding World Expo 2018, Le Piouff and the NGC market development team look forward to welcoming visitors at Booth 163.  They are ready to discuss any future project where Acti-Tech compatibilizers can add value to you by boosting the performance of your existing products.
