As it progresses on its sustainability journey, Bjørn Thorsen A/S (BT) is excited to recognise the accomplishment of its supplier Cabot that recently secured a Gold sustainability rating from EcoVadis.
It’s the fourth consecutive year that Cabot Corporation has achieved a Gold rating and is now placed in the top 2% of suppliers assessed within the chemical manufacturer group and the top 1% of suppliers assessed by EcoVadis across all industries. EcoVadis is an independent assessment organization that evaluates companies’ sustainability performance in the areas of environment, labor practices and human rights, as well as in ethics and sustainable procurement. Their methodology is based on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and ISO 26000.
At BT, sustainability has an increasing level of management attention, becoming a driver in building an environmentally and economically sustainable distribution offering. Therefore, it is important to be able to represent products from companies like Cabot that follow strict and transparent standards regarding the reporting of their sustainability performance.
