This year, Bjørn Thorsen A/S will be present for the first time at the French fair France Innovation Plasturgie (FIP), at stand K02/J01. The fair will take place at Eurexpo, Lyon, on 5-8 April 2022. Besides Bjørn Thorsen, visitors can also meet Stora Enso AB, Customized Compound Solutions A/S (CCS) and Nordic Grating Company A/S (NGC), who will co-exhibit at the same stand.
Products presented at FIP
Bjørn Thorsen has been distributing specialty polymers in France since 2019, gradually adding biopolymers and recycled polyolefins to its distribution portfolio. The company has also high expertise around thermoplastic elastomers and compatibilizers due to its affiliates CCS and NGC. CCS offers high performance TPV, TPE & TPO compounds, while NGC provides compatibilizers for recycling or impact modification of thermoplastics.
The Finnish-Swedish group Stora Enso AB will be present at the fair to showcase their wood-based biocomposites. Bjørn Thorsen has been distributing Biocomposites by Stora Enso in France since June 2021. They are bio-sourced alternatives to conventional petro-sourced polymers, while maintaining the good moldability of polyolefins and the durability of wood. A live injection demonstration of these materials will be performed by FARPI-FRANCE at their stand F43.
Among other companies, Bjørn Thorsen will also represent IRP – Portuguese producer of recycled polyolefins (PEBD, PEHD & PP) from Post Consumer Recycling (PCR) and the Indian company M. G. Polyblends – producer of masterbatch siloxane.
