Bjørn Thorsen’s manufacturing affiliates Customized Compound Solutions A/S (CCS) and Nordic Grafting Company A/S (NGC) will showcase their products at Compounding World Congress in Cologne, Germany, on June 4-5, 2019.

Representatives from our daughter companies: Kevin Barthomeuf – Chief Technical Officer at CCS and Quentin Le Piouff – Business Development Manager at NGC look forward to meeting you at the two-day conference which covers the latest market and technology trends for compounders.

You can find CCS & NGC at exhibition space #7.

CCS was established in 2015 as manufacturing affiliate of the Bjørn Thorsen A/S group (BTG), with the goal to bridge the gap between commercially available polymers and ever more demanding market requirements for differentiated enhanced compounds. CCS actively engages in tailored solution development, by combining technologies from key raw material suppliers and partners of its parent company with its extensive formulation and processing knowhow. Anchored on BTG’s deep knowledge of engineered thermoplastic elastomers and other key polymers, like plastomers, as well as its established broad market access, CCS aims to be recognized as an innovative and reliable source of customized value-added solutions to various industries in the international plastic world.

In doing so, CCS can also capitalize on the unique and proprietary range of functionalized Acti-Tech™ compatibilizers from its sister company inside BTG, NGC, founded late 2016. Utilizing ExxonMobil’s patented Vistamaxx™ performance polymers technologies, under global license granted to BTG, NGC develops and directly commercializes superior compatibilizers for use as impact modifiers of stiff polar engineering thermoplastics, coupling agents enabling higher filler loadings, adhesion promoters on metal & polar substrates, as well as performance booster of recycled feeds, among other purposes.

About the Bjørn Thorsen A/S group (BTG)

The Bjørn Thorsen A/S group (BTG) core distribution team focuses on sales of special raw materials from leading chemical manufacturers (e.g. BYK, ExxonMobil, Lubrizol, Borealis, Cabot, Sun Chemicals, Venator, DRT and others) to customers in diverse end uses in Automotive, Coating, Construction, Industrial, Medical, etc. In recent years, BTG has increasingly acted as true solution provider, by leveraging its considerable application and processing technology know-how, together with flexible and efficient logistics services from warehouses in several European and other locations around the world. This broader capability is reinforced by the development expertise of its affiliates, Customized Compound Solutions A/S (CCS) and Nordic Grafting Company A/S (NGC) that complement BTG’s offering with their own ranges of customized alloys, compounds and reactive polymers, available globally in response to individual needs. www.bjorn-thorsen.com
